About Paul Garn
Compassionate Care, Evidence-Based Practice
I care about people, clarity, and steady support. I believe people grow best when they feel understood and respected, and when they have space to be honest. I also know what it's like to face uncertainty and try to rebuild confidence. Those experiences taught me that clarity and compassion matter, and they guide the way I show up for the people I work with.
I help teens, adults, couples, and families slow down, understand what's happening, and regain a sense of control when life feels overwhelming. Clients often describe my presence as calm and grounding. They appreciate that I help them make sense of complex situations without pressure or judgment. Whether someone is dealing with anxiety, relationship stress, trauma, or major life transitions, my goal is to offer a clear and supportive space where they can move forward with confidence.
My approach is collaborative. You are the expert on your own life, and I bring training in psychology, relationships, and human development. We combine those strengths to build a plan that fits who you are. I care deeply about the role relationships play in longβterm wellbeing, and I work to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported. If you want clear direction, emotional steadiness, and practical tools for realβlife change, you don't have to navigate it alone. You only need a place to begin, and together we can take the next step toward feeling grounded and capable.
βMy goal isn't to fix you β it's to help you discover the strengths you already have and build the life you want.β

My Therapeutic Philosophy
Three core principles guide everything I do at Vantage Counseling.
Person-Centered Care
You are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences honestly. Every aspect of your therapy β from the goals we set to the pace we move β is guided by what you need.
Evidence-Based Practice
I use therapeutic approaches that have been tested and validated through rigorous clinical research. This means you can trust that what we do in session is more than just talk β it is structured, purposeful, and proven to help people make meaningful change.
Strength-Based Perspective
Therapy isn't only about identifying problems β it is also about recognizing and building on the strengths, resilience, and resources you already possess. We start from the foundation of what is working in your life and build from there.
